I have only one thing I wished the book had was a little better binding! I have owned mine for years and have read and re-read the book so many times most of the pages have seperated apart. What you will find quickly within the book is what level of a trapper you are while you read it. I have had several ah-ha moments several years following my first reading as with more time and experience on the trap line I finally understand several points he was making but my gray matter couldnt absorb it yet due to my lack of experience. I have a lot of trust in Dana and her lures and baits and the success I have achieved has been a direct relation to my on line instruction from Craig and purchasing baits from Dana that WORK!
The last thing I have to say is Hoofbeats is a must read book for any trapper who values his time. Why not check traps with fur in it like Craig!

All of Craig;'s books are outstanding. His fox and coyote books were some of the first I ever bought, in the 70's. He and Garold Weiland were gracious enough to help struggling college kid (me!) by answering my letters and numerous questions about prerdator trapping. Craig and Garold; THANKS Again!

NOTE: I still use Craig's products.

I started buying lure from craig in 1976. He is, without a doubt, the master of all masters when you talk trapping. He is , no bull, no brag, just facts. And he can prove it. He has taken more predators than any ordinary man can imagine. I am proud to say that I know him. His products are the finest in the industry and he is the smartest man in the industry. Truly self made, and the best in the world.......................Charlie Lei forsyth , Montana

I have read Hoofbeats over and over again. I then took private instruction from Craig. In the terms of a college curriculium I would consider it at a doctorial level. This is the ultimate Coyote Book whether you are a trapper or not. You come away with understanding the canine and his habits.
In order to truely understand its greatness you must spend time in the field and see for yourself how the coyote approaches and acts towards your sets. You can then say A-HA now I get it!

Hi Bill.
You can purchase the book from O'Gorman Enterprises. Their phone number is (406)-436-2234. They don't have a website, as far as I know. They can send you a catalog with all of their books, videos, lure, and trapping supplies.
