		<description>Hi New Trapper,
Wow, it sounds like you already have some pretty good experience trapping if you caught 38 coons this past year!
You have lots of great questions. While it would be impossible to explain everything you asked all at once, I would like to point you in the right direction where you can find more information.

First, if you search through this site (trappingtoday.com) you will find some information on the things you asked about. I would like to add much more info to the site but for now the info is somewhat limited. Use the search function at the top and type in a topic. You can also browse the categories.

Probably the best source of trapping information is www.trapperman.com. If you join the site you can search the archives for different topics. Most of your questions have already been answered there. Also you can post new discussion topics and ask people questions.

Another great thing to do is subscribe to trapping magazines like Trappers Post and Trapper Predator Caller. These are great ways to read and learn more about trapping.

Finally, I think the best thing to do is find a mentor in your area, an experienced trapper who would be willing to take you along on his trapline and show you the ropes.

Good luck, and hope you have a great trapping season next year!
