FHA January Fur Auction Results
Today, 1/16/17, is the date of the first major fur auction in the 2017 selling season – Fur Harvesters Auction’s January sale in North Bay, Ontario. This sale should give us a good indicator of how the fur market will shape up for the rest of the year. Low demand from Russia and China have been stalling the fur market, but trappers have responded by harvesting and shipping fewer pelts, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Here’s the offering from FHA:
Fur Harvesters Auction Inc. is pleased to announce the following quantities for our

I am interested to know the price of a woman’s fur coat in 1949; the coat is made from otter pelts? Thank you to anyone who could help me with this question.
Jeremiah says
Hi Pierre,
I don’t know much about fur coats, but the standard older fur coats don’t seem to have much value. They sell on eBay for around 100-300 dollars. Hope this helps.
