Idaho Trappers Association Fur Auction Results: January 2018

February 3, 2018 by Jeremiah 1 Comment

Here’s a recap of the Idaho Trappers Assocation’s recent fur auction.  Overall, coyotes and bobcats continue to do well, with the rest of fur items struggling.  They will have another sale in March.

Species-Fur brought in-Average price
Badger – 3 –  Average: $10.89
Beaver – 5 –  Average:  $13.22
Bobcat – 48 –  Average:   $323.15   (Over half cats were no-sales.  I think folks are thinking the cat market will pickup and are bringing them back for March sale)
Coyote – 951 –  Average:   $51.31  (Had two big lots that averaged $55 and $66 that were no sale.  We had $105 dollar coyotes and we had rubbed $8 dollar coyotes at the sale)
Fox – 58 –  Average:   $19.08
Marten – 35 –  Average:  $25.16
Mink – 4 –  Average:  $15.44
Muskrat – 328 –  Average:  $2.77
Raccoon – 10 –  Average:  $10.26
Skunk – 5 –  Average:  $14.10

Thanks
