Advocating for Trapping and Responding to the Critics

In this episode Jeff Traynor of Furbearer Conservation and I have a timely discussion around how we as trappers advocate for what we do and the actions we can take to help prevent trapping bans and promote trapping as part of responsible wildlife management. We talk about recent attempts to ban trapping, arguing on social media, letters to the editor, showing up at legislative hearings, talking to your representatives, and overall, communicating what we do to an otherwise uninformed public.
