That is really cool how does that happen?
It’s a trait called melanism, where all of the animal’s pigmentation is dark, basically the opposite of an albino. It’s a genetically inherited trait, and is extremely rare in bobcats. Could explain many of the reported sightings of black panthers, or cougars over the years. Pretty neat for sure!
