In this episode I go over one of the great trapping and wilderness adventure books of its time. Mink, Mary and Me was written by Chick Ferguson in 1946. Copies are expensive and tough to find, but I believe it’s well worth the cost.

When I was a teenager I checked ‘Mink Mary and Me” out of the Anchorage public library several times. Someone had high graded the photos from their copy. As an adult I found a copy in the Fairbanks, Ak. public library, it had all the photos. I bought a copy from eBay several years ago,
I agree it’s a really good trapping story.

I forgot to mention all of the great pictures in the middle of the book!

Chick and Mary were my grandparents. I wish I’d had him sign the copy I had. They lived in Wolfpoint, Montana.
