Just finished the book (almost in one sitting). Great read, great writing. I’ve spent most of my adult life in Alaska and have seen all of the state with the exception of that northeast section. It was great following along on a map of the area. I live in a heavily (human) populated area so there is very little “ground trapping”. In the trees or in the water are the options. Catching a dog is front page news. And, of course, the trappers are to blame. Hope you make it back some day.

Just finished reading your new book, I thought it was excellent. Very descriptive of the landscape, the weather extremes, trapping methods and tools, and daily life of a trapper along with history of past trappers of that region. You effectively took the reader on your journey. I found myself rooting for you to harvest that elusive wolverine. Hope to now read your prior published books.
