As responsible trappers, we should always do our best to avoid conflicts with hikers and pets. This sometimes means not trapping an area or changing our methods, even if not required by law. The enforcement officer said he’s never gotten a report of a leashed dog caught in a trap. That should say something to pet owners.
Looking at the last photo it seems Mr. Mohrwinkel still hasn’t learned to keep his dog on a leash.
