About
Hi,
My name is Jeremiah Wood and I’m the founder of TrappingToday.com. I grew up in Maine with a strong passion for the sport of trapping and the lifestyle that surrounds all things trapping. After obtaining a degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine, I finished a Masters degree in Fisheries Biology at Utah State University. I’m currently a state fisheries biologist in rural Montana, and continue to be an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper.

I started Trapping Today with the intention of bringing trappers to a common area where they can keep up to date on trapping related issues and learn more about the sport of trapping and its techniques.
The purpose of this site is not to detract from other trapping related sites. In fact, my goal is to complement existing trapping sites and work together with them to promote this great sport. Because a number of excellent trapping forums currently exist online (see trapperman.com), I do not currently plan to develop a forum or message boards on this site, instead focusing on providing an important source of news, information and entertainment to today’s trappers and others interested in trapping.
